Dr. Paul Rothenberg is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon recognized as an NJ Top Doc for excellence in patient care. As Chief of Sports Medicine & Shoulder Surgery, he treats shoulder, knee, hip, elbow, and ankle injuries—leveraging advanced arthroscopy, cartilage-preserving procedures, modern shoulder-replacement techniques, and the latest stem-cell and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) biologics to return athletes and active adults to peak performance.
His résumé includes hands-on work with three major professional franchises—the New York Jets (NFL), New York Islanders (NHL), and Miami Marlins (MLB)—experience that uniquely informs his care for competitors at every level.
A native of Tenafly, NJ, Dr. Rothenberg played collegiate football at Union College before graduating Alpha Omega Alpha from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic-surgery residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System and a sports-medicine fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital / LIJ Medical Center.
